“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,” Hebrews 12:1

What kind of race are you running?  Is it a race for yourself or is it a race for GOD?  Truth is we get so caught up in life that we get so busy running our own race that we don’t focus on the race God has provided for us.  Think about the race your running right now.  Is it stressful, hard, unpredictable, or maybe its tiresome that you end up quitting the race?  What if you had a face to face conversation with God about your race He wants you to do and later down the road you decide to quit?  Or what if you didn’t quit?  What do you think the circumstances would be either way?  This sounds like parenting doesn’t it?  You give your children rules and then some days they do them and other days they don’t.  Do you just let them get by with rule breaking or do you have them suffer consequences?  If you don’t have kids, what about a spouse or friend?  You decide to run a race together for reliability and then your friend decides to quit?  There are circumstances that are about to happen afterwards right?  This is why it is extremely important to pick the right accountability partner for your race.

Today, take time to meditate on your goals and the memory verse.  Let’s all run this race together and be an imitation of God in this lost world.  It FIRST STARTS WITH US, NOT OUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY!!

Here is a song that fits this study today perfectly…. ENJOY!
