90 day Challenge

90 Day Challenge- Day 16

weight loss challenge

Day 16!!! Are you still working hard at being HEALTHY and CONQUERING 2014?  It may feel like we have been trying “forever” to get physically healthy, but yes you read right.  It is day 16!!  Today, I want you to really focus on your spiritual goals.  Did you read Joshua?  How would you feel if you were Joshua?  Joshua had a lot on his plate.  The Israelites were stubborn.  But, I can tell you we go through what he went through.  Can you honestly say you are not stubborn?  We can read the story and wonder why on earth would they just disobey and not listen?  Why would they turn their backs against God?  Here is a question we need to ask ourselves, why do we turn our backs on God?

I don’t know about you but I do not want to suffer the consequences they did in Chapter 7.  The Lord’s fury puts me back into place every time.  I start thinking more about my body and how He provided this body just for me.  Not anyone else to take care of, Just Me!  He trusted me to care for my body the way that I should.  He trusts me to be physically and spiritually fit.   Joshua did EVERYTHING for God.  Everything that we do, we should also do for God.  Can you say today you did everything for HIM?  If you can’t start NOW!! You are never too late.  He will guide you to get physically and spiritually fit.  He will give you that momentum you needed for that last bit of your workout.  I can honestly say He has provided me with a lot of motivation during my workouts.  Just when I think I can’t go any further, I surprise myself and am able to finish strong.  That is all God, not me!!

I want to leave you with a devotion I read today (the duck dynasty commander devotional) and a song called Do Everything by Steven Curtis Chapman.

Devotional: Faith to Meet the Challenge

Then the Lord said to satan, “Have you considered my servant Job?  There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.” Job 1:8

“Have you ever been sitting in an audience and some performer starts pulling people onstage for whatever reason?  Am I the only one who wishes I could turn invisible at that moment?  God called out Job and brought him to satan’s attention and offered him as a testing ground—because he trusted his heart and his strength.  Job ended up facing a lot of trials and tribulations, but through it all, he never lost his integrity.  When trials come into your life, remember that God is in control.  Perhaps—just perhaps—He has allowed this trial because He trusts your faith and knows your strength.  And though the trial may hurt like the dickens and weaken you with its intensity, always know that God will provide a way out and that He’s with you every step of the way.”—Al Robertson

God knows our strengths, our weaknesses, and our heart.  He knows what will make us or break us.  He knew Job would not fail the trials, God also knows we will not fail Him either.  He is always right beside us holding our hand waiting for us to call out to Him to get us through.  Call out to Him; He always has your back.
