weight loss challenge

Do you wake up in the morning already thinking you are going to fail today?  You have not even flipped the covers back to get out of bed, and already thinking, “I don’t think I can do this today.”  Just remember you are not alone, we all go through this stage!! I mean let’s face it, we have houses to clean, spouses to show love to, kids to tend to, pets to care for, jobs that take up half our day, and finding time to sleep and relax is, well, last on our list.

you can't fail

This is exactly what satan likes to hear.  Satan wants us to already feel like a failure. He despised the day you were saved, Because now he has to work extra hard to distract you away from God.  1 Peter 5:8 says, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” Notice how scripture says he walks searching his prey.  The enemy is sneaky and is scheming every time you are near a temptation.  Once you have thought that temptation, satan walks in and tries to take over you.  He thinks he already has you, He thinks that he has defeated God.  But, this is where we can prove him wrong.  We can stop out thoughts of failing by praying, talking wholeheartedly with God, and memorizing scripture.  Satan is doing everything he can in his short time left to pull you away from God.  Because his ultimate fury is at God, nothing gives satan greater unholy pleasure than assaulting God’s children.  And he is doing this in your present conflict.  So what is your conflict right now?  Is it the way you look?  Is it that you never feel you have the will power to get a workout in?  Is it the food that is tempting you around you?  Give it all to God, Don’t let satan defeat you.  Flip it around and DEFEAT satan, God has your back.

Beth Moore stated, “Satan’s desire is to modify human behavior to accomplish his unholy purposes.  2Timothy 2:26 tells us that satan’s objective in taking people captive is to get them to do his will.”  So next time you reach toward that bag of chips, piece of cake, fast food supersize, or anything that tempts you, think of satan standing there with it in his hand saying come and get it, you know you want to come to me.  Remember to turn away and God will be standing there holding your hand ready to quote scripture at him and telling him to be gone from you.

After we have received Christ as our savior, satan was then forced to work from the outside rather than our inside.  He manipulates outside influences to affect the inside decision factor of the heart and our mind.  So the next time you look in the mirror think positive.  God did NOT make anything ugly, everything God created is BEAUTIFUL, and that means you as well.  He only looks at our heart, and if our heart is with God you will feel determined to conquer the enemy daily.

Bible verse to memorize if you haven’t-  1 Corinthians 10:13- No temptation has over taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that you are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that you may be able to bear it.
